Writing as Nora Charles, Noreen is the author of the Berkley Prime Crime South Florida Senior Sleuth Series starring Kate Kennedy, as a modern Ms. Marple. Death with an Ocean View is the first in the series. Noreen also created the Ghostwriter Mystery Series – starring Jake O’Hara as a New York City ghost, whose assignments are murder – Enter Dying, Remembrance of Murders Past, Death Never Takes A Holiday, Death Comes For the Critic and Ghostwriter – a Mystery Guild selection. The series, well reviewed in The New York Daily News and The Sun-Sentinel, was #1 on The Dallas Morning News bestseller list. Her nonfiction books are: Foxy Forever, How to be Foxy at Fifty, Sexy at Sixty and Fabulous Forever – St. Martin’s Press, and Contestant: The Success Secrets of a Game Show Veteran, Avon Books. Wald has appeared twice on the MSNBC Morning Show and on the NBC Nightly News as an expert on game shows. She has given over 50 radio interviews. Published articles include: My Life in Pictures, a tribute to the movies, published in the Sun-Sentinel’s Sunday magazine and Autumn Sonata published in Connecticut Woman. In the company of celebrities such as Joyce Brothers and Lillian Gish, Wald has lectured on for crossings aboard the QE2 and aboard the Oceanic to South America. A winning contestant on seven television game shows – including Jeopardy! – Wald also worked for Goodson-Todman and Merv Griffin Productions, helping to develop television game show pilots. Her presentations in New York City, Washington DC, Florida, Maryland and at the CIA in Virginia, include: A Workshop in Murder; Sixteen Steps to Structure & Sell Your Nonfiction Book; How to Turn Your career/Hobby into a Mystery Novel, How To Get On A Game Show & Win; and, based on her book, Foxy Forever, How to be a WOW – Wonderful Older Woman.
